What does pranayama (breathwork) actually do? This was a question I asked myself so so many times… Some forms of pranayama make me feel high, others make me sleepy, some give me a headache! Is it actually important anyway? Do we really need to practice pranayama? Once I started to dig, I found a wellspring.
This workshop is a dive into the internal workings of our bodies means for self-regulation: the breath. The breath is a bridge. It's the literal and figurative link between our outer and inner worlds, what we can control and what we cannot.
In this workshop we talk about the physiology of breath and what various forms of pranayama actually do for us. Nadi Shodhana, Suryabhedan, Bhastrika, Kapalabhati, Ujjaii. You will learn in this workshop what pranayamas fit under what circumstances, where and how they can be used to better your health.
Deze workshop wordt gegeven in het Engels. Katherine spreekt wel Nederlands, je kan je vragen dus gerust in het Nederlands stellen.
